www.fedstats.gov
A link to many of the statistics and data available from the U.S. government via the web.

Statistical Abstract of the United States
The "National Data Book" contains a collection of historical data on economic, demographic, and social conditions in the U.S.

If you are looking for U.S. economics, demographic, and social data from 1995-2005 then I strongly suggest that you look at the Statistical Abstract of the United States, now available for download free for years 1995-2005!  If only such an item were available for my native Britain!
